Andraez “Greedy” Williams, CB, LSU

I went into the 2018 draft convinced the Chiefs were going to take a corner early. They failed to do so, but did grab a promising developmental player in Tremon Smith in the 6th round. The 2019 draft should present plenty of opportunity to add to the secondary for the Chiefs. Andraez “Greedy” Williams lived up to his nickname as a redshirt freshman for LSU, snatching 6 passes from opposing teams and patting down 11 more. Williams has a long frame a 6’2 but will need to add some weight to his 182 pound frame before hitting the pros. If Greedy can replicate his 2017 success it is likely he ends up being a top 10 pick in 2019.

Michael Jackson, CB, Miami

One of the other big names, pun intended, in the 2019 class is Michael Jackson from the University of Miami. Jackson had a breakout year as a junior and will look to continue that momentum his senior year. The Miami Senior is 6’2 and 195 pounds and plays every bit of that on the field. Jackson did not have as much ball production as Williams. However, Jackson still snagged 4 interceptions last season along with 5 passes defended. Between the two, Williams has more upside and tends to make more splash plays but Jackson is consistent and shows the instincts to have a long solid career as a starter in the NFL.
