Charcandrick West

For West, it has never been a lack of effort. Coming from Abilene Christian, West has had to work hard to keep a roster spot. However, he also has a bigger cap hit than the some of the other guys that battling for a spot behind Kareem Hunt and that makes it even more difficult for him to carve out a spot for himself.

The Chiefs like him a lot and he may still make the roster due to his passion for the game and work ethic. However, I believe his competition is simply more talented than him. West could definitely prove me wrong though. He has proved naysayers wrong his entire NFL career.

Spencer Ware*

It seems that Ware may be a little behind in getting ready for the next season due to his severe knee injury from last season. I would not at all be surprised to see him land on the PUP list or IR. We will just have to wait and see how OTAs and training camp go. If healthy, there is no reason that Spencer Ware would not be one of the top guys on the depth chart behind Kareem Hunt.

All in all, this looks like a very talented group of running backs and we have no idea how the Chiefs will decide to use them. Who do you have making the roster at the running back position?
