Several present and former members of the Kansas City Chiefs remembered the sacrifices made by veterans over the years on Memorial Day.
On this holiday weekend, we certainly hope everyone in Chiefs Kingdom is enjoying some time off. Hopefully you’re eating well, resting up and enjoying some good company of loved ones—friends, family or neighbors—in the process. However, Memorial Day is obviously also a time to reflect and remember the sacrifices that have been made so that we can enjoy these freedoms.
Today we want to join with various members of the Kansas City Chiefs to thank any and all of you for your service in the armed forces. Several of us have lost family members and friends along the way, and Memorial Day is a treasured time to reflect on and share those memories with others. Several Chiefs players, past and present, are echoing the same sentiments today via social media.
Here’s just a sampling of social posts from the day to commemorate the occasion. Hope this is an important time of reflection for everyone, and to those of you in Chiefs Kingdom who have served in one capacity or another, we echo our gratitude alongside the Chiefs organization.
