No. 78 overall
Dorance Armstrong Jr., Edge, Kansas

The Kansas City Chiefs have been confident coming into the draft that they are set at edge rusher. In fact, their moves have been along the defensive line and inside linebacker and the secondary this offseason, but fans still feel like the Chiefs could use some help on the edge.

With this pick, Veach finally adds some depth and further potential at a position brimming with it. Justin Houston has one side locked down, but Tanoh Kpassagnon remains a raw product heading into year two and Dee Ford’s back problems are nothing to take lightly.

With Dorance Armstrong bring in another edge player who comes with plenty of experience being a target of offensive coordinators on such a thin Kansas defense. He’s a very hard worker who puts up maximum effort every time and it gives the Chiefs depth and production at a very important spot on the defense.
