After a strong showing the past two years on primetime, Chiefs fans can expect to see more of their team on Thursday Saturday, Sunday or Monday nights.

Following a 10-6 season with a second straight division title for the first time in franchise history, the Kansas City Chiefs were one of the more prominent and discussed teams in 2017. A big part in that is due to the fact that the Chiefs played a franchise-record six primetime games, the most of any team in 2017.

The past two seasons, the Chiefs have been involved in some of the most memorable moments during the regular season. In 2016, the NFL used its flex option to change the Week 12 meeting between the Chiefs and Broncos game in Denver to Sunday Night Football, which did not disappoint, ending as then-Chiefs kicker Cairo Santos barely made a game-winning field goal as time expired in overtime. Two weeks later, the Chiefs were involved in another close game after beating the Oakland Raiders by one possession at home on Thursday Night Football.

That helped the Chiefs land six primetime games in 2017, including the NFL kickoff game in New England, where the Chiefs stunned the Patriots after shutting them down 21-0 in the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs went 8-2 in 2016 and 2017 combined in primetime games. Among those 10 contests, six of them were decided by 10 or fewer points.

Going into the 2018 regular season, the Chiefs have a lot of big games, and some of them should be considered for primetime. With the NFL schedule set to be released soon, we will go over five games that you should expect to see on primetime.
