Now that the new NFL league year has begun, we can officially see the list of Chiefs draft choices with trades that have been made.

With a new league year brings a lot of instant transactions. Free agent deals that have been unofficially agreed upon by a handshake can now include a signature. Trades that have been consummated can now be submitted. Roster moves that were all but done are now signed and sealed and made official across the transaction wire.

For the Kansas City Chiefs, not only does it mean officially saying goodbye to already traded players like Alex Smith and Marcus Peters, but it also means learning the returns on those deals. Until now it wasn’t quite clear which specific draft picks were involved in certain deals. Now, however, we can officially look at the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft order and know what the Chiefs have to work with.

For example when the Chiefs’ trade of Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams was leaked to the press, the parameters of the deal weren’t known for some time. Yet even after those came out, that the Chiefs had brought back a 4th round pick in 2018 and a 2nd round pick in 2019, it was still unclear what the Chiefs final draft order would resemble because K.C. agreed to send over a sixth round choice. The issue? They had 2 of them.

Now that the dust has settled and the league calendar has been flipped here’s what Brett Veach has at his disposal.
