The NFL combine has winners and losers every year. Here are three offensive players that stood out at the combine and would fit the Kansas City Chiefs.

It is officially the time of year where the collective NFL world turns its eyes to Indianapolis for the NFL combine. An event where the best college football players run around in shorts for a couple of days to potentially raise their NFL draft stock. It’s easy to get enamored with a blazing forty time or an eye popping number of reps in the bench press, but ultimately no single result at the NFL combine can directly correlate to a successful NFL career. So as Chiefs fans sort through the annual “combine winners and losers” posts this week how can you identify who’s combine results might actually translate to them being a productive Kansas City Chief next season?

That’s where I come in.

I’ve been pouring over the combine results this weekend and trying to find guys who blew up the combine who also have game tape that backs these results up AND fit what the Chiefs do. There’s so many players to comb through that I decided to break these results into two posts. This week I’ll give you three offensive players that were stars at the combine that I would LOVE to see in Kansas City next year and next week I’ll do the same for the defense.

If you read my recent free agent wish lists you know that one of my main considerations is if I think there is a realistic chance of the player winding up in Kansas City. Therefore, this list won’t contain players that I don’t think have a realistic shot at being there when the Chiefs pick. Guys like D.J. Chark and Will Hernandez definitely blew up the NFL combine and could be highly successful Chiefs, aren’t on this list because I simply don’t think there is a realistic chance that they could fall to pick 54 (the Chiefs’ first pick).

So now let’s look at three prospects that I do think could be great picks for Kansas City.
