General Manager Brett Veach continues to bring in depth and to be aggressive before his first Free Agency and NFL Draft.

Between bringing in new players before the Free Agency period and talking about who will no longer be a Kansas City Chief in 2018, we have seen a picture of where General Manager Brett Veach wants to take this team. Veach wants to get younger which is one of the reasons inside linebacker Derrick Johnson will not be in Kansas City next season.

Fans are divided on whether or not this was the right move but we all have to remember the NFL is a business. The Chiefs respectfully decided to move on from Johnson and will try and find their next inside linebacker of the future.

David Amerson was signed on Friday evening to bring more cornerback depth to a secondary that extremely struggled in 2017. While he won’t likely be a starter opposite of cornerback Marcus Peters, he will hopefully provide quality depth. If there’s anything that we learned from the Philidelphia Eagles this past season, depth wins Super Bowls and that is what Veach seems to be working towards.

Will Veach bring any more help to the offense during his aggressive push to improve this team? Most of the issues tend to be on the defensive side of the ball and need the most attention but there is a lot of unproven but potential on the offense. When or should the Chiefs pick someone up in Free Agency or the draft?

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk discussed his thoughts on Marcus Peters not staying in Kansas City. After the antics in 2017, some fans tend to agree. Even though all of the reasonings for him leaving the Chiefs are ridiculous and built up. Peters is staying a Chief.
