Locked on Chiefs: Doug Pederson takes the Eagles to the Super Bowl
By Chris Clark
We talk about the Patriots and Jaguars game in depth and how the Chiefs could have fared against those teams if they were in the AFC Championship game.
The
could have been playing in the AFC Championship if they had played in the playoffs how they started the season. We all know that’s not the way it worked out, but it’s hard not to at least consider. With the way the AFC Championship game played out, it sure looks like the Jacksonville Jaguars will be around and in contention for the foreseeable future. The Patriots will also always be in contention as long as Tom Brady is playing on Sundays.
In the NFC Championship game it was amazing to watch the Philadelphia Eagles demolish the Minnesota Vikings—and so unexpectedly. If the Eagles had Carson Wentz, it would make a little more sense but the Vikings are still a great defense. Coach Doug Peterson will have the Eagles in the Super Bowl for the first time since Andy Reid took them there in 2004. The job that Pederson has done with Nick Foles as his QB has been remarkable. When it comes down to playing the game I still think the Patriots end up with another trophy. Philadelphia is good but Foles isn’t going to be able to take the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory.

The Chiefs have been sitting at home for the past couple of weeks after losing to the Tennessee Titans. With the Chiefs season over we are working to move on and talk about how the team can improve in the off season. The Chiefs have a bunch of free agents that they have to make some tough decisions on in the coming weeks.
