Locked on Chiefs: Seth Keysor analyzes Patrick Mahomes’s performance
By Chris Clark
Seth Keysor from Arrowhead Pride returned on the show to talk about the debut of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
We take another in depth look at Patrick Mahomes’s performance from Sunday with the help of Seth Keysor from
on today’s podcast. There are a lot of statistics to back up what was mostly easily visible from watching the game. Mahomes’ debut was very good—good enough even to be good if he was a veteran, let alone a rookie who had never before taken a live snap in the NFL. There is a lot to build on in the future with Mahomes at QB for the Chiefs.
On Wednesday the Chiefs practiced and had several players still missing from the field. Tamba Hali, Rakeem Nunez-Roches and Jarvis Jenkins all missed practice on Wednesday. Phillip Gaines was moved to injured reserve with his elbow injury and the Chiefs signed defensive tackle Stefan Charles. Charles is likely a move to try to get enough bodies available for Saturday with Jenkins and RNR out injured right now. The Chiefs had 6 CB’s on the roster so it was an easy area they could gain another position player.

The Chiefs are poised to take on the Tennessee Titans on Saturday in a game at Arrowhead. While K.C. has shown the ability to play better at home during the regular season the postseason at Arrowhead has not been so kind. The Chiefs have only 2 wins in the playoffs while playing at the friendly confines of Arrowhead. Hopefully that doesn’t play into the game on Saturday against the Titans who K.C. should be able to handle rather easily.
