We talk with Seth Keysor from Arrowhead Pride to discuss whether or not Tyreek Hill is an elite WR and Patrick Mahomes.

So in case you are living under a rock and didn’t hear there is some big news that was announced at

Kansas City Chiefs

head coach Andy Reid’s press conference on Wednesday.

Patrick Mahomes will start on Sunday.

He will also be given the starter’s reps this week in practice as well. This is big news as we will get a chance to see what the rookie can do. We will also have the ability to see what he’s like against one of the best pass defending teams in the NFL.

The Chiefs haven’t started a first round rookie QB since 1979 and they haven’t played a first round QB since 1986. Kansas City has spent over thirty years in futility to try to find a long term answer at QB and it is about time to see their first effort in this millennium. Regardless of how Mahomes may play this is valuable experience for the rookie signal caller.

Mahomes stepped into a fantastic position being drafted by the Chiefs 10th overall this season. He didn’t have to step in and start right away for a bad team. He also gets to learn from one of the best QB coaches in the NFL in Andy Reid. The added benefit he will have this week is learning from Smith in a real game situation. He will make reads and plays and then have the opportunity to talk about them on the sideline. The experience he will get this weekend will bode well for the team in the future. Playing bad or playing well isn’t near as important this weekend as is the experience of playing in general.
