We talk to Cody Roark of Locked on Broncos to talk about the Chiefs upcoming game for Week 17.

The

Kansas City Chiefs

have not reported back for practice to prepare for

the Broncos game this coming week

. We may find out later today whether or not the starters will play. It will be very interesting to see whether or not Reid decides to rest his veterans this coming week. Among the starters expected to not play would be Alex Smith, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt on offense. On defense I would expect that Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, Ron Parker, and Marcus Peters won’t play against the Broncos.

With nothing to play for this week it would make the most sense for Kansas City to give their younger players a chance to play. The Chiefs have many players that may not be around next year as they have salary cap issues. Having a chance to play younger players at this time in the year is a bonus. You have the ability for your veterans to get an extra week of rest and help them be fresher for the playoffs.

The Chiefs have a chance at playing the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens, or the Tennessee Titans depending on how things go on Sunday. By about 6:30 Arrowhead time on Sunday, Kansas City should know who they will face. The one team left in contention that they can not face is the Los Angeles Chargers. Regardless of who the Chiefs may play they will be in for a tough game. More than likely I would guess they would play the Ravens or the Titans but we will know soon enough.
