The Kansas City Chiefs punished the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night to stay leading the AFC West with only two games left.

Arrowhead Stadium was packed and loud as always to help the Kansas City Chiefs secure a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers Saturday night. The team decided to wear their red on red jersey’s and played a video involving safety Eric Berry to hype up the team and crowd and it worked. All night the defense especially was hyped up and ready to play.

Star cornerback Marcus Peters came back from his one-game team suspension ready to dominate. He was seen before kick off jumping up and down waving his arms in the air telling the fans to keep the noise coming. The atmosphere was a complete change from just a few weeks ago it seems the team is back on track to do some damage just before playoff time.

Peters, a two time Pro Bowler, played a night to remember being targeted six times and allowing zero receptions. He also came away with a pass deflection and two interceptions. Between the drama with his suspension and having Berry back on the sidelines, Peters is back and focused.

Rookie running back Kareem Hunt had a prolific game and set another franchise record of rushing yards against a single opponent in one season with 327 yards rushing combined in the two games against Los Angeles. Hunt finished the game with 155 yards and a touchdown on the ground and a career-high of receptions for 55 yards with a touchdown. With 1,201 yards on the season, he has rushed for more yards than any other rookie back in Chiefs history, passing the late Joe Delaney.

The Chiefs seem to be catching fire at just the right time with playoffs around the corner. What does this win for the teams future? Find out in this episode of the Blitz Package!
