The Kansas City Chiefs open up the week as 10 point favorites over the visiting Miami Dolphins in the second to last week of the regular season.

It looks like bettors are starting to believe again in the Kansas City Chiefs.

For the past two weeks, the Chiefs have resembled the same unit that rolled over anyone and everyone for the first five weeks of the regular season, besting the likes of the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots. In their victories over the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers, the Chiefs are clicking on all cylinders, so to speak, with a dangerous offense able to move the chains when necessary and a stout defense that has come up big when needed.

Perhaps that’s why the Chiefs are favored by 10 points over the Miami Dolphins this week, per Sports Book Review. The Dolphins are certainly not looking good this year after making the playoffs last season, but the difficult season and roster holes made them a popular bet on actually taking a step back in 2017. Combine that with the loss of Ryan Tannehill early in the year and the Fins have had a year to forget, for sure.

However, the Dolphins still have reasons to play spoiler, starting with the always competitive fire of head coach Adam Gase. You can bet he’s going to be hungry to show some spark or momentum with which to end the season and provide hopes for next year. The Chiefs would be the ideal team to face in that they’ve already felt their backs against the wall for the last two weeks and now might let their guard down because they’ve beaten their rivals in the most important games left on the schedule. If that sounds like a trap game, it is.

Then again, the Chiefs look focused and ready to do what they need to do to make this season a success. That means besting the likes of the Miami Dolphins and giving themselves a punched ticket into the postseason. Right now they are 10 point favorites over Jay Cutler and company as they come to visit Arrowhead on Sunday.
