We preview the Chargers and Chiefs on Saturday and talk to Eric Eager about the matchups for the game.

The

Kansas City Chiefs

have

ruled out center Mitch Morse

for the game tomorrow night in Arrowhead. While that worked out alright for them against the Raiders it could be much worse against the Chargers. Los Angeles has a better defensive line that can bring pressure and be disruptive in the running game. The Chiefs will need a good game from Zach Fulton, Brian Witzmann and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif as well as the tackles.

The Chargers have also listed cornerback Casey Hayward as questionable for this match up. That could be a very big injury for the Chargers if his calf issue keeps him out of the game. Even if he is able to fight through and play, the injury could certainly hamper his effectiveness. Kansas City has the talent at wide receiver to make the Chargers pay if given the opportunity. Alex Smith needs to have a great game for the Chiefs to walk out with a victory.

For the Chiefs to walk out victorious they need to do a couple of things. First, they need to run the ball well with Kareem Hunt. If he gets 18 to 25 carries the Chiefs should win this game. Kansas City needs to attack the middle of the field and the linebackers with Travis Kelce. He should be a mismatch for anyone that they have that could cover him and he will open things up for the rest of the offense. Most importantly, K.C. must get Philip Rivers rattled early in the game. Rivers needs to be hit early and often and a pick or two would also help the cause.
