Tamba Hali took to Twitter to encourage fans to stay positive and that the Kansas City Chiefs would turn things around in the end.
While there’s little to no evidence of any such 180-degree turn happening, Tamba Hali took to Twittter after the Kansas City Chiefs‘ latest loss to encourage fans to stay positive and to declare his confidence in the team.
Shortly after allowing the New York Jets to set several season-high totals, including 30 first downs and 38 points, Hali tried to put out the flames of frustration in a fan base that has now watched a complete meltdown in the standings. The Chiefs, after all, have went from a perfect record of 5-0 to an even record of 6-6.
While it might be hard for most Chiefs fans to believe in this sort of turnaround, it is heartening to hear a player believe that the team will still rally when it counts the most. If the team were somehow falling apart, with players creating drama and arguing with each other in the locker room or on the field, then it would be a different story. Instead, Hali is encouraging fans to stay with the team as they remain together despite the losing streak.
We will turn our season around!!! I’m sure of it. #sticktogetherandwatchGODwork

We owe it to our fans, even though the outcome the past 6 weeks has not been the expected results. I understand our fans frustration. YES we owe it to our fans. We as the players will rally around one another and turn this season around. #Chiefs #1game1playatatime

Times like these support from one another is needed. All Chiefs around the WORLD need to be proud of this team and the hurdles we’ve had to overcome since Coach Reid’s era here. Let’s continue to encourage and spread ❤️ to one another. That’s the greates gift to humanity.

Of course, it would be nice if Hali would also help the effort, but he was held out of the game against the Jets, reportedly due to how his knees swell up on artificial turf. Given that the Jets gave up zero sacks for the first time all season, having Hali in the fold would have been a nice addition to the pass rush rotation.
Do you agree with Hali? Do you have any hopes in the team’s ability to turn things around? Sound off in the comments.
