We start to look ahead at the upcoming game and the Chiefs schedule for the next seven weeks.

The Kansas City Chiefs probably won’t return to practice until Wednesday this week but I’m guessing there were several players back at Arrowhead on Monday. Getting a week off for this team now is something that had to be a good thing. Andy Reid alluded to needing a bye week at this time in his press conference as well. It gives you the ability to look back at what you are doing or have done and make adjustments.

The Chiefs have a much easier schedule moving forward than they’ve played to this point in the season and they need to take advantage of it. Kansas City doesn’t have a team they play in the next seven games that currently holds a winning record. That should give them the confidence to be able to run through the next seven games. They will need to make adjustments and hopefully the bye week will allow them to do some of that. Winning their division shouldn’t be something that is an issue. The better question for this team is how far they can take that once they get into the playoffs.

The Chiefs made a roster move on Monday releasing defensive tackle Roy Miller after his arrest this weekend. There aren’t a lot of details out about what happened that are for sure at this point but the little out doesn’t sound good. The Chiefs brought in a familiar face bringing Cam Thomas back to the roster. Kansas City was looking at Thomas to be Bennie Logan’s backup heading into the year before they added Miller.
