Biggest Surprise: Kareem Hunt
Despite the past three weeks where the rookie phenom has ostensibly cooled off, Kareem Hunt has been one of the best offensive players across the league in 2017. Even his “dropoff” in productivity in the past three games has netted 295 yards from scrimmage. Hunt leads the league in rushing with 763 yards on the ground this season. He has another 307 in receiving yards – a grand total of 1,070 yards from scrimmage in 2017. Hunt received high praise coming out of Toledo, but no one could’ve expected what he’s been able to accomplish by the midway point of the season. He makes a case as arguably the frontrunner for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. In recent weeks, teams have sold out to stop his assault on the NFL record books. The back half of the season will prove just how capable he is of handling the first patch of adversity of his young career.
