We do a quick review of your calls into the voicemail line and talk about the Chiefs headed into the Giants game.

The Kansas City Chiefs bye week was regrettably not uneventful. On Saturday defensive tackle

Roy Miller was arrested

in Florida for domestic violence. The Chiefs are currently doing an investigation of their own but this is definitely what you don’t want on your week off. We most likely won’t know anything about Miller’s situation for the next couple weeks. The authorities are investigating but the person that reported it has now decided not to press charges.

Kansas City needed this time to get healthy and get back to their winning ways. Coach Reid is one of the best coaches in the NFL coming out of a bye week. In some ways I wish that the game coming up was the Dallas Cowboys game and not the New York Giants. The Chiefs with an extra week to prepare for the Cowboys offense probably would have fared better. Regardless they need to get back to winning this week.

The Chiefs have a lot of reasons to be optimistic headed into the second half of their season. Their schedule gets easier through the next seven weeks. They should be healthier headed into the game Sunday than they’ve been since the season started. The Raiders had an off week as well so they didn’t gain any ground on the Chiefs. While I’m writing this the Broncos are currently playing the Patriots, which is more than likely another loss for them. The Chargers lost in an embarrassing fashion against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday as well. The Chiefs control their own destiny in the AFC West and they should feel good about their chances to capitalize on it.
