We answer listener questions and give you a preview of the Chiefs upcoming game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs were back in practice on Thursday and got a very familiar face returned to the practice field. Veteran outside linebacker Tamba Hali returned to practice for the Chiefs after what was a very different day yesterday. It was reported both nationally and locally that Hali was expected to return yesterday but he didn’t. We probably won’t find out why he didn’t return but at this point his three week window has started. The Chiefs have 21 days from Thursday to decide whether or not he will play in 2017.

Kansas City also had both Mitch Morse and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif practicing again in full on Thursday afternoon. The Chiefs would be greatly served if they both can play on Sunday but it may not happen. With the bye next week they could decide to give LDT another week of rest before having him return. Dee Ford and Albert Wilson also missed practice on Thursday and will probably both be out this week.

Earlier this week it was announced Chiefs rookie kicker Harrison Butker won the rookie of week for his performance on Monday night against the Broncos. On Thursday it was announced that he also won AFC special teams player of the month in October. Butker has made 18 straight kicks after missing his first attempt. Butker is playing fantastic and will be a weapon for years if he can continue to be this consistent. Most people I’ve talked to have gotten so comfortable with him that they don’t even watch the kicks anymore. He could be a very special kicker for the Chiefs.
