Tonight the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. Both teams are coming off back-to -ack losses and are looking to right the ship in prime time. For the Chiefs, they need to rebound after dropping games to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders. Those losses have been dissected a lot already but let’s just say both games were frustrating and disappointing. For the Broncos, it has been even more of a letdown as they were outscored a combined 44-10 in back to back losses to the New York Giants and San Diego Chargers, two teams that are a combined 2-10 against the rest of the NFL. With both teams looking to get back on track, it makes this Monday night match up all the more critical.

The Chiefs do not want to drop a third straight game and fall behind in the race for home field advantage in the playoffs. A loss would also put the Broncos within a half game of first place in the AFC West with the Chiefs still having to travel to Denver. For the Broncos, they obviously don’t want to drop to below .500 with a 3-4 record and would much prefer to pull into a tie in the loss column with the division leading Chiefs. At minimum, a win in Kansas City would keep the Broncos as a viable playoff team in the AFC.

Bottom line: There is a lot on the line for both of these teams.

After looking over the Broncos games this season I came up with three main keys for the Chiefs in this game if they want to make sure they come away with the victory. I 100% believe that if they do these three things they will win this game. I don’t believe they can win if they don’t do at least two of them. Let’s start with the one that is probably the most important.
