We take a look at a couple of tough questions after the Chiefs latest loss to the Oakland Raiders last Thursday night.

Kansas City would be in a fantastic position this morning if they would have found a way to finish off the Raiders last Thursday night. They would be 2 games up in the division on the Denver Broncos who have now lost their third straight game. The Chiefs will face them next Monday night at Arrowhead and they have the chance to make it a two game lead again.

Coach Reid spoke to the media on Friday and was hopeful that Kansas City could be getting Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and Mitch Morse back for the Denver game. If they both return the Chiefs should be in a great position to win the game. The Chiefs offensive line didn’t play bad against the Raiders but they need to be better against a much better Broncos front. Kansas City should go into the game favorites and should be able to win against a bad Broncos offense.

Chiefs are also in a position to possibly get Tamba Hali and Steven Nelson back soon as well. Kansas City could really use Tamba’s presence on the sideline as well as on the field. He may be the starter and could relegate Dee Ford to situational pass rushing if Hali can set the edge. Steven Nelson is probably an even bigger pick up for the Chiefs defense. He gives them a third corner that can play the pass well and is physical in run support as well. Kansas City’s defense will miss Eric Berry throughout the season but Eric Murray will grow throughout the year.
