We took another look at the Chiefs game against the Texans with Seth Keysor.

The Kansas City Chiefs had practice on Wednesday and there were a lot of guys that didn’t practice. Linebacker Justin Houston, tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Albert Wilson didn’t practice but were on the sidelines. While this doesn’t mean they will play it means the team probably thinks they could play this week. Center Mitch Morse, gurad Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and defensive back Steven Terrell didn’t practice and weren’t seen on the practice field.

Duvernay-Tardif and Morse are likely getting close to coming back. This would be Morse’s third game he’d miss if he doesn’t play this weekend. There was never a timetable established for LDT so it’s hard to know when he could return. There are however a couple of players that practiced that could help the Chiefs on Sunday. Parker Ehinger continues to practice in full marking the second week he’s done so. Dee Ford returned to practice on Wednesday after missing the past couple of games with a back injury.

Nothing has been said recently about Tamba Hali or Dadi Nicolas. Both started the season on the PUP list so they are out until at least Monday at this point. I would expect that Nicolas will probably revert to IR and be lost for the season as he suffered a late injury. Hali, however, could be available to return as soon as Monday assuming he’s healthy. The trick with Hali’s situation is where do they cut from to activate him? First guess would be they would want to release an offensive lineman but that’s hard with the injuries there right now. It’s possible they could release Terrance Smith to make room as well.
