Chiefs vs. Texans: 3 key matchups to watch

Chiefs Wide Receivers vs. Texans Corners
After facing the Redskins last week in a matchup the saw a litany of injuries to the secondary. The Chiefs will be facing another defense with some injury concerns of its own in the secondary. Starting corners Kevin Johnson and Kareem Jackson both showed up on the injury report this last Wednesday. Johnson did not participate with a knee injury designation, and Jackson was limited with a hamstring injury. The Texans other top corner Marcus Burley was also limited with a knee injury designation. That leaves Jonathan Joseph as the Texans only fully healthy starting corner going into the matchup.
Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill taking over as the #1 wide receiver is so far on pace for 84 receptions for 1152 yards and 8 TD receptions. After a quarter of the season Hill is looking to have a near identical season to what Jeremy Maclin had with the Chiefs in his first season back in 2015. In 2015 Maclin had 87 receptions for 1088 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Against the Texans, Hill will face the a team that ranks 10th in the NFL against #1 WRs. The Texans have been allowing an average of 7 receptions for 71 yards through 4 weeks of the season. If the Texans corners are able to get healthy this could be a tough matchup for the young wide out, but the Texans have yet to face a receiver quite like Hill. My projection is for Hill to have 5 receptions for 90 yards and 1 TD.
