Get enough going offensively against the Chiefs defense. The Chiefs are the strongest defensive unit that the Redskins have faced thus far. Kirk Cousins finally looked good last week for the first time of the 2017 season. But the Raiders have one of the weaker defenses in the NFL aside from Khalil Mack. The Chiefs pass rush and secondary are going to be a test for the Redskins.

The Redskins had a tough time on the offensive line in the preseason and in the first two weeks of the regular season. Morgan Moses, the right tackle, was particularly bad, as he surrendered three sacks in the opener and hasn’t looked like himself yet. He is going to be tasked with blocking Justin Houston for a majority of the Monday night contest, and that could get dicey for the team.

Elsewhere, the Redskins are going to have to find the weak link in the Chiefs’ secondary. That is doable, but their receiving talent hasn’t showed up quite yet. Marcus Peters is one of the best cornerbacks in the league, and he will lock down whoever he is tasked with covering. That would probably be Terrelle Pryor, but he hasn’t been great so far anyway. Jamison Crowder and Josh Doctson could be the guys to step up, but Jordan Reed is a candidate too since Eric Berry is out for the season.

Overall, the Redskins offense is the key to doing enough to beat the Chiefs. They will need to break the 20 point mark to have a chance at winning, so if they start slow, that could be bad news for them.
