Locked on Chiefs: Connor Rogers Joins the Show

Connor Rogers joins the show to talk Chiefs rookies Kareem Hunt and Patrick Mahomes, along with Alex Smith and much more.

Coach Reid had a press conference on Monday and he talked about how the team will move on from the loss of Eric Berry. Reid stated that not just one guy will be responsible for Berry did for the Chiefs. Both Daniel Sorensen and Eric Murray will take Berry’s place in different defenses moving forward. Sorensen will likely play closer to the line of scrimmage and Murray will patrol the back of the defense. This will be a great opportunity for Murray to get experience this season and maybe show he’s ready to take a starting position next year.

Kansas City will head into this home game against a team that is coached by someone with a lot of knowledge of how things work in Arrowhead. Doug Pederson will make his first trip to Arrowhead as opposing coach. He was in KC for three years as an assistant. Reid will need to switch things up this week. It will be a good test for the Chiefs after a decisive game in New England.

K.C. is healthy headed into week two. They are coming off a mini-bye week with the extra rest after playing on last Thursday night. Kansas City will be in a great position to have everyone available for the second week in a row. Bennie Logan is the only player that was mentioned by Reid, but he thinks he could practice. I would expect that in the coming weeks we will see a return for players like Parker Ehinger and Reggie Ragland as well.
