Several Kansas City Chiefs players, current and former, have called for their followers to help contribute to relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey.

The devastation is widespread. It’s also ongoing. The stories coming out of Texas these days are equally overwhelming (due to the sheer amount of damage) and heartening (when you see how people are coming together). Several former and current Kansas City Chiefs players have taken to Twitter to help encourage the latter kind of stories, promoting ways in which all of us can come together in difficult times like these.

Rain totals are expected to reach nearly 50 inches (or more), causing billions of dollars in damage. Families have been displaced. Lives ruined. Businesses and homes destroyed. From asking for prayer to pointing to specific organizations that are on the ground, these Chiefs past and present are pointing to what really matters. We definitely stand with them as Addicts and hope that all of us are doing what we can to join and help those who need so much support.

We also want to join with them and encourage all Arrowhead Addicts and members of Chiefs Kingdom to partner with reliable charitable organizations and relief efforts, whether monetarily or in other ways in which a charity says they need specific help. Here are a number of organizations helping with food, shelter, clothing, rescues and more. Please peruse and respond!
