As Addicts often do, we step out of our comfort zone to give our pre-fight analysis of the biggest fight in a long, long time.
I asked for some input from some the addicts here at AA. Those who braved the call gave me their quick and über professional take on what will happen later this evening. Enjoy as we talk about things we know nothing of.

When picking this fight an analogy I have never heard before kept popping into my head. If you were to hold a bake-off to find out who can bake the finest cake, and the two opponents were the best cake maker in the world versus the best pie maker in the world, would you not put your money on the cake maker? I mean, it’s a cake making contest.
When the bout was first announced I assumed this would be an overhyped boxing match similar to what you would see with Butterbean. The greatest boxer of the times against one of the best current MMA fighters in a boxing match. A boxing match where the lone boxer is undefeated, by a bunch.
However as time has gone on my interest has peaked. The biggest factor being the change of the glove size. 8 ounce gloves pack a much harder punch than 10 ounce. This fact has to go to McGregor’s favor. There is no doubt he has knockout power. The chance he lands some punches in this fight are good, so my curiosity keeps me intrigued.
I expect the fight to go the distance. I predict Mayweather winning by decision. The boxer wins the boxing match. I must say this, all boxing credibility is at stake. If Mayweather happens to get beat, boxing is as illegitimate as the 3rd string long snapper.
Matt Conner
Prediction: Mayweather in Round 1
“How do you go against Floyd Mayweather in any way, shape, or form? The man is willing to bet millions on himself. Plus his opponent doesn’t even know how to spell. It’s Conner, not Conor. He deserves to lose on his deformed name alone. I also know nothing about sports where guys beat up on each other.”
“Wait…”
Lucas Hampton
“Having no knowledge or interest in wrestling and fighting, I’m going to put my money on McGregor. He has an Irish name, and he looks like a pretty chill dude when he’s not in the ring. Why is it called a ring when it’s a square and not circular at all?”

“This fight has been hyped up more and for longer than this week’s solar eclipse. I would be more excited for this fight if it was an MMA fight rather than a boxing match. MMA fights are more exciting and quicker bouts with more enjoyable undercards to sit through for hours. Which if iI am paying $100 to buy this on pay per view, you can bet I am wanting more than one fight to get my money’s worth. I predict this fight will not live up to expectations and it will be a long boring fight. Floyd has never been much of a knockout artist, he prefers to outlast his opponents and win fights by dominating later rounds.”
“McGregor knows he can’t win a boxing match with Floyd so his only hope is to knock him out. But for that he can not just go in throwing like a wild man and hope something lands and he knows this. He is going to have to buy his time and wait for the perfect opportunity. If Floyd takes him lightly then I think he could get lazy and give McGregor an opening. If he takes it, McGregor has the power to make it count. I do not think Floyd will do that. My prediction is the fight goes at least 9 rounds and Floyd wins by either unanimous decision or KO in the later rounds.”
