Cornerbacks

Marcus Peters – All-Pro cornerback coming into his third season.

Steven Nelson – Number two corner. Moves inside when they need a third corner.

Terrence Mitchell – Number three corner. Plays outside when the Chiefs go to 3 corners.

Phillip Gaines – Currently the Chiefs fourth corner.

DJ White – Chiefs fifth cornerback, and last year’s sixth round pick, that showed a lot of promise last year.

Eric Berry – All-Pro safety.

Ron Parker – Vastly underappreciated safety.

Eric Murray – Great depth as a second-year player. Versatile.

Daniel Sorenson – Signed a big extension to play third safety role on defense.

Leon McQuay – Seventh round pick currently looks like he could be the 10th defensive back. Still up in the air though.

Dustin Colquitt – Punter.

Cairo Santos – Kicker. Sam Ficken, Santos’s replacement while dealing with a groin injury, has looked good but this is Santos’ job.

James Winchester – Long snapper.
