Chiefs vs. Bengals: Unanswered questions heading into preseason Week 2
By Nick Floyd
Will we see more of Kareem Hunt?
Hunt has been turning heads at training camp, and many have predicted he could possibly usurp current starter running back Spencer Ware to be the main back for K.C. During the game against the 49ers, Hunt rushed once for 0 yards, but did catch a single pass for nine yards.
While Ware did not see much action, he managed to break through the line for a touchdown, and rushed for 6 yards on 4 carries. On the other hand Charcandrick West, who seems the more likely for Hunt to replace, was able to gain just 6 yards on 5 attempts.
Hunt brings an interesting skill set to the table and should play a bigger role in the offense in week two. If we are to believe all the hype coming out of training camp, head coach Andy Reid will need to get Hunt more involved. That involvement could include some first team reps at running back or even lining up in the wide receiver position. Hopefully those questions we have about Kareem will be answered this weekend.
