A rainy gloomy day at Chiefs training camp left the team with a couple more injuries that will need to be monitored in the coming days.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a long time before the season starts and most of the recent injuries remain small but they are starting to get nicked up. Bennie Logan left practice today with a sore knee, his backup Roy Miller isn’t quite up to speed physically and is working on his conditioning. This isn’t something that is too surprising about Miller as he injured his Achilles late last season. Cam Thomas is not the player they hoped he would be which is why they brought in Miller if both he and Logan miss time in the regular season the Chiefs will struggle with the run again.

While the Chiefs were dealing with injuries on the defensive line they also signed two next CB’s to help the depth at the position. Unfortunately they lost a couple of more DB’s during practice on Saturday as well. Terrence Mitchell and Steven Nelson remained out of practice while Reshard Cliett and Leon McQuay left practice early. The Chiefs will either need to make more moves or hopefully get back some players.

The Chiefs will be headed back home Wednesday. Set to prepare for their first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers on Friday night. Many players will have a lot on the line when the games start this coming week. Wide receivers and tight ends will have a lot more pressure once action goes completely live. Ability to get open and not have a player right in your face helps in practice but isn’t reality. Time will tell who will make the roster. The most important pieces of the puzzle start on Friday night at Arrowhead against the 49ers.
