Here is the second of Chris Clark’s several attempts to guess the final 53-man roster of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a full week of training camp in the books at this point, and we’re starting to hear some names over and over again from those in attendance. Some players are standing out. Others remain in the shadows. For the latter, there’s precious little time left to make an impact. Here’s the second attempt to guess the Chiefs final 53-man roster with a breakdown of each position and the players predicted to make the final cut at each, in light of training camp results so far.

Quarterbacks

Alex Smith – Can’t see this changing. Smith is having a great camp.

Tyler Bray – I expect Bray to still make it and be the #2 but Mahomes is showing signs early.

Patrick Mahomes – Mahomes is making strides still has rookie mistakes from time to time.

Running Backs

Spencer Ware – Ware will be the starter at least to start the season. Isn’t changing yet.

Kareem Hunt – Hunt has made several plays already in camp including a fantastic one handed catch on Sunday.

CJ Spiller – This could easily still be West but right now he’s hurt and Spiller is showing a knack for catching out of the backfield.

Charcandrick West – Possible West makes the roster but right now he is getting passed by Spiller in practices and West is injured.

Anthony Sherman – Still the only FB the Chiefs carry but Orson Charles is getting reps at FB as well.
