The Chiefs Tamba Hali had a weekend to remember and had a lot to say about his playing time, his coaches, his teammates and the way the team is covered.

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali took to Twitter on Saturday to let people know how he felt about his playing time in the playoffs, players not being at OTAs and questioning whether or not coaches play the best players. With everything that Hali said on Saturday, there is a lot to cover. A player of Hali’s status doesn’t generally come out and say what was said very often. It was great insight into a player that has been the heart of the defense since he was drafted.

Hali called out players not showing up for OTAs and stated that he thought the Patriots wouldn’t have those types of issues. Most of the time issues like this would be taken care of in house, but Hali decided to go public with it. He didn’t specify what players missed, but it was widely reported the guys who missed practices. You have to wonder what affect his comments will make when camp opens.

The most surprising revelation however was Hali’s comments about the coaches for the Chiefs, by flat out answering a question about whether they play the best players with a no. Hali obviously wasn’t happy about only having seven snaps in the playoff loss against Pittsburgh. Hali didn’t say anything about the players that were playing that day. He did say that he was healthy and able to play that game. Hali went on to say he’s been mostly healthy for the past two seasons so it will be interesting to see how it plays out moving forward.
