The Missouri Tigers will play their home game against the Boston College Eagles at Arrowhead Stadium in 2024.

The Missouri Tigers announced that they will return to play a home game at Arrowhead Stadium in 2024, when they will host the visiting Boston College Eagles.

Missouri fans will be quite familiar with Arrowhead Stadium after having played Kansas in the Border War there for several years. The most recent Tigers game was facing BYU in 2015, an exciting comeback 20-16 win with 14 points in the fourth quarter. Tod Palmer of the Kansas City Star says that very game failed to meet financial expectations, which makes the Boston College game a “make-up game” of sorts.

"The Boston College game is something of a makeup game for Arrowhead Stadium after the last game in Kansas City — against BYU in November 2015 — failed to meet revenue expectations in the wake of a brief boycott by Tigers players earlier in the week that threatened to cancel the game."

If the Border War can restart, a wish on the side of Missouri only for now, perhaps the Tigers will be playing back at Arrowhead Stadium on a regular basis. It could be a great recruiting tool for certain, but for Kansas refuses to play Missouri in any sport. Given recent comments from Kansas’ Athletic Director Sheahon Zenger, that should not be expected to change anytime soon—which means Missouri’s lone trip in 2024 might be the only time they play at Arrowhead in the near future.
