Chiefs rumors: Where will Jeremy Maclin play next?

New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints traded away their top wide receiver in Brandin Cooks, so it’s pretty natural to think they could use some help here. However, the team is fairly loaded even without him given that quarterback Drew Brees makes everyone look good in that offense. Michael Thomas and Willie Snead are both reliable wideouts who’ve earned 100-plus targets apiece and Coby Fleener helps as a receiving tight end. Ted Ginn was also brought from the Carolina Panthers to help balance the load.
Why it might happen: If the Saints were able to add Maclin to the group of receivers, Drew Brees would make opposing defenses sweat for 60 minutes. It’s not their biggest need, but it would enhance their biggest strength and sometimes that’s the best sort of move to make. Plus former Chiefs reporter Herbie Teope did add this via Twitter, which is a bit intriguing.
Why it might not happen: The Saints are already loaded with skill position players and even younger options who could emerge. Even more they should be focoused a bit more on balancing the offense with a running game that’s added Alvin Kamara in the draft. With only $11 million in cap space, does it make sense to lose your margin on a luxury item like adding Maclin?
