We’ve already discussed the national bias towards the Raiders over the Chiefs in the AFC but how does the rest of the AFC West shape up when you look at their average rankings in these ten sets of power rankings? Here are the average NFL rankings for all four teams.

Oakland Raiders – 5.1
Kansas City Chiefs – 10.4
Denver Broncos – 13.1
Los Angeles Chargers – 22.1

These rankings didn’t surprise me much. I was anticipating the Oakland love, as I’ve already mentioned. I’m also not surprised to see the Broncos in third and the Chargers predicted to be the worst team in the division based off how the teams did in 2016. However, I think the Chargers may surprise some people next season. They had bad injury luck last year and if they stay healthy in 2017 they could be dangerous. Denver, on the other hand, didn’t really address their two biggest question marks. They still seem unsure about the quarterback position which is a bad position to be unsure of, and when you add to that a really bad offensive line, it only makes things worse. If their defense slips at all they could find themselves at the bottom of the division looking up.

So what do you think Chiefs fans? Are the Chiefs getting overlooked nationally based off these offseason power rankings? Do you agree that they probably deserve to be around the bottom of the top ten in the NFL? Do you see the Raiders as the favorites in the AFC West like the national media does, or do you think that the Chiefs have earned the benefit of the doubt until the Raiders prove otherwise on the field? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

As always, thanks for reading and GO CHIEFS!!!!!
