The NFL lost one of its finest defenders ever with the tragic passing of Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy. Many players and executives responded with memories.
Most of us will forever remember the defensive dominance of Cortez Kennedy. It’s impossible to be an NFL fan and not remember the way he was able to shake even the finest offensive lineman with simple move or two to get at the passer or ball carrier. The longtime Seattle Seahawk was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012 with an incredible 58 career sacks from the defensive interior.
With news that Kennedy passed away on Tuesday, the NFL responded en masse with players, coaches and executives alike providing memories, well-wishes for his extended family and expressions of sadness.
Hall-of-Fame DL Cortez Kennedy has passed away at the too-young age of 48, Orlando police said today.
