Current Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and former HC Herm Edwards were among the hundreds at Katherine Berman’s funeral this week.

Both a former and current Kansas City Chiefs head coach were among the hundreds in attendance at the funeral in Wallingford, Connecticut for Katherine Berman, wife of sportscasting legend Chris Berman, on Wednesday. Andy Reid and Herman Edwards were just two of many NFL luminaries to join Berman in grieving the loss of his wife and celebrating the impact she had on so many.

Berman, 67, died on May 9 in a two-car accident that also left the other driver, Edward Bertulis, dead as well. Her husband, Chris, delivered a eulogy that celebrated her passions and family. The Bermans had been married since 1983.

"Chris Berman was the last to speak, describing Katherine’s life journey and their life together. Media were not allowed into the chapel but several people in attendance described the service as a touching remembrance of the people, places and activities that Katherine, a longtime educator and lover of botany, was so passionate about."

Others in attendance included New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly and many of Berman’s colleagues from ESPN and the broadcasting world.
