Chiefs draft Patrick Mahomes, 5 other players in NFL Draft
The Kansas City Chiefs made the big move that nearly every fan was wanting them to make, a serious move up in the draft to secure a first-round franchise quarterback in Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes II. The Chiefs made an incredible four trades over the 2017 NFL Draft weekend, packaging 10 total selections into 6 players by Saturday afternoon.
Chiefs sign cornerback De’Vante Bausby
The Chiefs brought a familiar face back to Kansas City to add to the cornerback competition with the addition of De’Vante Bausby, a now-veteran who first entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2015. Bausby broke his collarbone that preseason and was ultimately released before catching on with the Chicago Bears. He’s shown promise in that time and Dorsey apparently remembered his natural gifts enough to give him another chance.
Contract: 1-year, $540K
