The 2017 Kansas City Chiefs are starting to take shape. All the major offseason free agent signings are in the books (not that KC had many) and now the 2017 NFL Draft is as well. That means that the we now have the players that will make up the 2017 Chiefs on the roster. Yes, there could be a late addition, especially after roster cut downs, but that will likely be a player or two max. The 53 man roster will be comprised almost exclusively of the 90 plus players currently under contract.

Obviously, there is still a long road ahead to narrowing the roster down to the final 53 spots. There are things like Rookie Mini Camp and OTAs where some of the young players will get their first chances to make an impression. Then there is training camp and the preseason games where players can really earn their place on the roster. However, there are a lot of spots where we can already make a pretty good guess of how things will work out. So I thought for this week I’d take my best shot at predicting what the 2017 Chiefs team will look like.

I went through the entire roster and narrowed it down to the 53 guys I think will make up this team. Take a look at who I’ve got making (and not making the team) and let me know if you think I’ve got anything wrong. The Chiefs are returning most of the roster from last season so there aren’t a ton of changes.

Let’s start with the quarterbacks.
