The earliest mock drafts are already out for the 2018 NFL Draft, and FOX Sports has a two round effort that shows who the Chiefs could land.

Plenty of 2018 NFL mock drafts are out already but FOX Sports has one-upped everyone with a two-round mock that allows Kansas City Chiefs fans to start to guess what prospects might be possibilities as the team prepares for next year’s draft. After all, the Chiefs traded their first round selection, which means no single-round mock will ever feature a Chiefs pick unless the team unexpectedly trades up for one.

Dieter Kurtenbach has put together a two round mock that has the Chiefs slotted for less success than fans might want to see, with the Chiefs picking at No. 19 overall in the round. In the first round, the Buffalo Bills, who own the Chiefs pick, grab running back Derrius Guice from Louisiana State.

As for the real Chiefs selection, it comes at No. 51 overall with cornerback Jamar Summers from UConn. Summers is a converted wide receiver who now plays the cornerback position with a great eye for the ball. In 2015, Summers had an incredible 8 total interceptions for the Huskies, including 1 for a touchdown. Last year, he had 2 more but knocked down another 9 passes. He also had 59 total tackles last year, including 4 for a loss.

Such a playmaker would undoubtedly be a nice addition to a group that could be slated to lose Phillip Gaines and Kenneth Acker from the defensive backs to free agency.
