Pick: 22
Team: Miami Dolphins
Selection: Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan

Taco Charlton may be one of the most raw prospects in this draft, however many scouts believe in his development at the next level. He showed consistent improvement every year while playing for the Michigan Wolverines. Though far from perfect as a 4-3 scheme defensive end, he will be able to grow the mental strength that will fit his NFL ready size.

Scouting reports on Charlton suggest that he could be one of the best defensive lineman in this draft. His on the field talent is undeniable, but he has not been the most consistent “effort” guy when reviewing his tape.

Regardless of the question marks, Charlton will provide a strong end presence for a defense that struggles to create consistent pressure on opposing offenses. The Dolphins made an attempt to shore up the defensive line during last offseason by signing former first rounder Mario Williams. However, the team was left with a year of disappointments at this position, leaving the biggest hole on the roster to be filled by Charlton. [Keaton Henry]
