The Kansas City Chiefs have raised the cost of game-day parking to $60, as they encourage fans to plan to pay ahead of time.
The goal is to encourage fans to plan ahead of time and think about securing their parking at the same time they grab their tickets. However the Kansas City Chiefs fans have certainly made the cost a steep one if someone needs to park on game day by raising prices to $60, a $20 increase from last season, per the Star.
Interestingly, prices at the Super Bowl were only $40 more in February.

We asked fans on Twitter for their responses. Some were understanding, knowing the Chiefs are trying to make fans expedite the process to get to the games rather than clog the parking situation. Others used it as a chance to vent.
If a fan pays ahead, or takes a shuttle ride to the stadium, it's a very good deal. Don't complain if you wait & have to pay a $25 penalty.

Like Dodgers Stadium, you're at their mercy, they own the lot & there's nowhere else to park (can't even tailgating in LA)

Chiefs keep raising parking like they won a Super Bowl! For me instead of going to 4 or 5 games it will probably be 2. https://t.co/JtGHMtvyfw

Squeezing the pockets of your passionate fans. Works if competitive, if not #emptylot
