The official schedule is out for the Kansas City Chiefs 2017 regular season and there are plenty of primetime moments and exciting (and challenging) games on the slate.
The official NFL schedule is out, which means the Kansas City Chiefs now know who they are facing and when, beyond the rumored opener on the road against the New England Patriots. The road to repeat as AFC West champions looks a bit daunting from this perspective, especially seeing shorter weeks before playing some divisional foes. The Chiefs only have six days to prep for the Chargers late in the season, but even worse is facing the Oakland Raiders on the road on a Thursday night—and that’s after hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers just four days prior.
The bad news is this is the toughest Chiefs schedule we’ve seen in a few years, loaded with play off hopeful teams outside of a very competitive AFC West. The good news is that if the Chiefs are going to be as good as many NFL analysts and fans think they will be, they’ll get plenty of opportunities to showcase their talents against great opponents at home and on the road.
