Here’s our 2016 Rookie Review, a complete analysis of the entire draft class of the Kansas City Chiefs, just  one year after the fact.
Despite trading out of the first round completely and having another third round pick taken from them, the Kansas City Chiefs boasted a very strong draft class in 2016. On the strength of two impact rookies in defensive lineman Chris Jones and wide receiver Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs can largely feel good about their rookie crop after a full season of production. They also added important depth in the secondary and a nice young starter at left guard in Parker Ehinger.
That said, the Chiefs also learned some difficult lessons last year, took some risks that never paid off, and got rid of both a third and fifth round pick before they ever really had a chance to show what they could do.
Over the last several days, we’ve looked back with nine separate entries looking at the various selections made by John Dorsey one year ago. It was an interesting trip to see who made the team, who is now on other rosters, and which players could potentially break through with a full year of experience under his belt.
