Arrowhead Stadium hosted 19 NFL hopefuls during the Kansas City Chiefs local pro day, including Jordan Willis from Kansas State.

The Kansas City Chiefs recently held their local pro day, a pre-draft event that featured 19 NFL hopefuls running drills and answering questions from the team’s front office and coaching staff. Some of the prospects are familiar faces, heralded players who have already showcased their skills in bowl games and the NFL Combine. Other players are doing anything and everything they can in their limited time in the spotlight after attending small schools like Pittsburg State or Central Missouri.

The local pro day allows players and teams to get some additional time together in a part of the season in which contact can be limited. Given that teams only have 30 official visits they can host, the local pro day at least gives them time to hang out with players they like from colleges close by or playres who grew up in the local area. While the Chiefs didn’t take a single player from the 2016 local pro day, they’ve signed players like Donald Stephenson in the past after seeing them up close.

While some of these players are obvious draft choices (we’re looking at you, Jordan Willis), we thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at five intriguing prospects from the mix who deserve a bit more notice.
