There were plenty of NFL teams checking out Utah State’s pro day this week, including the Kansas City Chiefs.

Utah State’s pro day had plenty of NFL teams in attendance for the 16 players hoping to make the jump to the pro level and hear their name called in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs were one of 21 franchises to show up in Logan, Utah to check out NFL prospects.

"In all, scouts from the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins were in attendance."

Devante Mays is likely the prospect getting the most looks as a potential late round running back. Mays is a potentially hidden gem, a prospect sidelined by injury who now swears he’s healthy and ready to contribute at the pro level. His numbers agreed with him. He ran an official 40-yard dash in the mid 4.4 second level, had 22 reps on the bench press and had a 40.5 inch vertical leap. The latter would have been tops at the NFL Combine.

Mays had only 37 carries last season for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns. He reportedly has a visit with the Chiefs scheduled on Monday.
