The Kansas City Chiefs have shown interest in Harvey Langi, a versatile linebacker out of Brigham Young.

Harvey Langi’s collegiate career has taken some interesting turns. Last season, he played outside linebacker for Brigham Young, one season after he manned the middle linebacker slot. Before that he was a running back—for Utah. Oh yeah, in between he took a two-year church mission away from the game. Still the time away or changes of position haven’t stopped multiple NFL teams from noticing the pro-caliber talent that Langi possesses.

Langi, who will turn 25 once the 2017 regular season begins, created less pressure on the quarterback this season as a senior for BYU on the edge than he did as a junior in the middle. Thus, it’s easy to understand why teams might want to slide him back over than maintain any sort of unproductive experiment on the outside. He fell from 4.5 sacks to 2 sacks from 2015 to 2016. In the middle, he also had his only two career interceptions for BYU.
