On this episode of Roughing the Kicker, Joshua Brisco discusses why fans can accept mediocrity too easily, why the Chiefs are a perfect fit for an incoming young quarterback, why Chiefs fans should not want to see Tony Romo in Denver and much more.

NFL franchises are too comfortable being mediocre. It makes sense when teams want to avoid the cellar, but the Cleveland Browns, of all teams, are providing a new mindset in the NFL. How can teams learn to gamble better going forward?

The Chiefs are very well-equipped to insert a young quarterback into the fray – just look at what the Eagles have done. The Chiefs are doing it better – and backwards. Plus, how can the Chiefs learn from the disaster unfolding in Washington?

Many Chiefs fans have violently voiced their opinions about Tony Romo coming to Kansas City – it probably isn’t going to happen. But even if you don’t like the idea of Romo to KC, you should be terrified of him going to Denver.

Josh Gordon and Joe Mixon are both looking for a home in the NFL. Find out which one I’m most interested in seeing the Chiefs chase.

Also, the NFL has a drug problem and none of us totally understand exactly what we’re watching on Sundays.
