Branden Albert says trade to Jaguars is similar to joining Chiefs

Former Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Branden Albert says his new surroundings in Jacksonville remind him of his early days in Kansas City.
Branden Albert had nothing but kind words to say about his brand new city, embracing the trade that brought him over to the Jacksonville Jaguars from the Miami Dolphins. When reflecting on his new environs, Albert said that his new home in northern Florida reminds him of when he was playing in Kansas City.
Specifically, Albert is referring to Jacksonville as a town that loves their football team. He spoke with his new team’s website to explain:
"“I started my career in a place like that in Kansas City – and that’s where I’m going,” Albert said. “I probably had my best years in Kansas City. Jacksonville for me is a place where I can hone in and concentrate on football and be about football. I’m excited going where I’m going.”"
Albert entered the NFL as the No. 15 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and played six seasons for the Chiefs before striking a big free agent deal with the Miami Dolphins. After three years in Miami, the team was ready to move on from Albert and install Laremy Tunsil at left tackle and appeared ready to release him. Then the Jaguars decided to halt the process by trading for Albert instead. It’s unknown whether Albert would have chosen the Jaguars if allowed to hit the open market.
Albert is a two-time Pro Bowler (2013, 2015) who is expected to man left tackle for the Jaguars offense.
